Denver area residents have supported the fair trade mission of Ten Thousand Villages by purchasing our quality handcrafted products since 1981.  Our mission is to provide vital, fair income to marginalized men and women in developing countries by selling their products and telling their stories throughout North America. We are dedicated to alleviating poverty through long-term relationships with artisans, payment of a fair price, and promotion of gender equity and environmental sustainablity.

Ten Thousand Villages Denver originated as part of More For Less Thrift in Lakewood, eventually opening in Cherry Creek North on Columbine Street in 1996. We have been at our current location on Third Ave. since 2002. Governed by a Board of Directors, Ten Thousand Villages Denver has a manager, an assistant manager, and is staffed by over forty volunteers.
