Since 1981, Denver area residents have supported the Fair Trade Mission of Ten Thousand Villages by purchasing our quality handcrafted merchandise created by artisans from around the globe.  A founding member of the International Fair Trade Association (IFAT), Ten Thousand Villages has spent more than 60 years cultivating trading relationships in which artisans receive a fair price for their work and consumers have access to distinctive handcrafted items.

As well as supporting artisans in developing countries, the Denver store also sells products from local initiatives such as the Women's Bean Project and the Gathering Place.  Thanks to all of our loyal customers, we've been succeeding in our Fair Trade Mission for over twenty-five years, making a difference in the lives of artisans and consumers alike.

Ten Thousand Villages Denver originated as part of More For Less Thrift in Lakewood, eventually opening in Cherry Creek North on Columbine St. in 1996 and then moving to our current location on 3rd Ave. in 2002. Governed by a Board of Directors, Ten Thousand Villages Denver has a manager, an assistant manager, and is staffed by over sixty volunteers.
